The accountant who broke the mold
I’m a licensed CPA, a Certified Internal Auditor (CIA), hold a Master’s in Accounting, and am a QuickBooks ProAdvisor. Aside from the credentials, I have zero interest in being a “typical” accountant.
I didn’t take the obvious path – I’ve worked with companies of all sizes and in various industries, gaining valuable experience in Accounting, Finance, and Internal Audit along the way. That background means I have a very diverse skillset – I understand financial operations from the inside out and through different lenses. My clients receive additional value as a result – I’m not just categorizing transactions – I’m thinking about what the numbers actually say about your business.
Who I’m Fit For
I work remotely with clients in Washington State, primarily in the Greater Seattle Area. My clients are owners who are engaged, responsive, and truly interested in understanding their finances. If that describes you, we’ll get along great.
I’ve deliberately focused my practice on two industries: boutique real estate brokerages and small law firms. Not because I can’t help others – I have worked across a wide range of businesses. But I’ve gone deep on the specific financial requirements, compliance obligations, and operational rhythms of these two worlds. If your business is not in one of those industries, I’m still happy to have a conversation and see if we’re a fit – especially if you’re actively engaged, in tune with your business, and responsive.
On the real estate side, I work best with boutique brokerages and agent teams. When it comes to law offices, my ideal clients are small law firms (solo to ~15 attorneys).
Who I’m Not Fit For
- If you want the cheapest option, I’m not it – cheaper will likely end up costing you more over time.
- If you’re not responsive or engaged, we’re likely not a match. I need information to do my job well.
- If your tax situation is complex (multi-entity structures, multi-state filings, international, etc.), I’m happy to take on your day-to-day accounting needs, but will likely refer you to a trusted partner for taxes.
